JOURNAL ARTICLE PUBLICATION

For the final task, we are to write a journal article on a specific area within our dissertation. In addition, the article will follow Taylor's KREATE template.

Week 13

Following the briefing session by Dr Hayati, I revisited my dissertation and selected on my chosen area to discuss further in my article publication. I have chosen (RQ 2) which aims to reach (RO 1 + 2).

At this point, I was still unsure of my content and what I want to address. I started by highlighting the content that I took from the dissertation. Then, from here I edit and shift the overall focus of efficacy in general to my current topic of article.

FEEDBACK


Week 13
General Feedback:
  • Choose a specific area within the research that we wanna discuss as everybody has different amount of RO/RQ.
  • Focus on what you really want to address.
  • Our findings and method also contribute to the way the article is structured.
  • Don’t assume the reader knows, clearly indicate figures etc.
    Read through the dissertation, and reflect what is applicable to that RO/RQ within that chosen area

Specific Feedback:
  • Close one eye and then look at the overall layout.
  • Recheck the layout and alignment of certain graphical elements.
  • I should maximise the marks for this assignment and redo it based on her feedback.

Week 14
General Feedback:
  • Focusing on a specific area within the research that we have conducted.
  • The focus has shifted so editing is required since we are only focusing in a specific area.
  • Take note of the word  limitation to follow the template.
  • May ignore the word dissertation
Specific Feedback:
  • The working title is slightly too broad since I will only share a scope within the research.
  • Using research finding to write an article. I can ignore the fact that it is derived from my dissertation.
  • If I were to include my pilot study, I may describe it in my Methodology section.
  • Address that it was a mixed-methods and sequentially followed from a pilot study and questionnaire.
  • Discussion is evolving with the finding. Whatever is answering my RQ 2 can be extracted but it has to be edited.

Week 15
General Feedback:
  • Our command of the language is not really looked on, so we don’t have to worry about that aspect.
  • Articulate our finding and create a prototype since we have done our research. It would be useful for the future and possible to present our paper. 
Specific Feedback:
  • Specify the title to ‘popular’ fast-food ads.
  • Remove unnecessary statements like Previous studies primarily centred on animation rather than addressing its effect on online video advertisements.’
  • Ensure the right keywords are used because sometimes it gives a different impact.
  • My current introduction is like a thesis structure.
  • Revise the introduction to tell the reader what the research is about.
  • Add the rationale behind it evaluated and covered the question techniques.
  • I can have a maximum of 3 tables and figures, otherwise it is to be added in the appendices

INSTRUCTIONS FINAL PROJECT In this project, we can choose between silent movie audio or game audio. We are to create our own sound and bring the game to life. Game Selection The game I chose is Red Goddess Inner World. I thought that it would be fun to create the sounds in here since it has quite a number of different types of action. It's also important that we take note of the industry requirements and explore how we can showcase our value through our project.  The task following this briefing is to narrow down our ideas into a proposal in the next class.
