16 Oct 2023 - 20 Oct 2023 (Week 8) Zetie Binti Bahaman / 0351297 / BDCM Professional Development Week INSTRUCTIONS We had a briefing on the registration process as well as the schedule for each workshop. REFLECTION This week, we were advised to join several workshops to prepare ourselves for the industry and our future. Some were compulsory whereas some were up to us to choose which sparked our interest. 1. "Financial Literacy for Fresh Graduate” by ALLIANZ. The session shared tips on handling our finances in our 20s. The speaker suggested we follow a 50/30/20 rule in our spending habits which allows us to plan our spending on our needs, wants and also an emergency cushion. However, as much as we try to save, we also need to enjoy our time while we’re young. However, I do want to emphasize that it’s also important that you pay your commitments on time, read your insurance policies, and try to pay your credit card's full statement balance before the due date. I don’t think havi...

It's also important that we take note of the industry requirements and explore how we can showcase our value through our project.  The task following this briefing is to narrow down our ideas into a proposal in the next class. We are to share it with Mr. Asrizal before he assigns us to the right supervisor. Week 2 Consultation The main ideas I listed for my first proposal are as below: Fig 1.0 Major Project Ideation   Feedback - Wk 02 Mr. Asrizal suggests I explore more on either Idea #1 - Title Sequence or Idea #3 - Malaysia's Folklore. He requested I send him videos of my previous projection mapping work and he would inform me of my assigned supervisor the following week.  Week 3 Consultation I decided to go wit...

Week 11-12 Self Recording of Acting Reference We are to start recording ourselves as a reference in the project. Mr Kamal says it is normal for people to think of us as crazy as an animator. I'm a very shy and introverted person, so the first step of this project took me forever to act out. Fig 1.0 Video Acting Reference My story idea for the emotion change, the flow is from neutral to happy>shocked>sad>angry>scared. As seen in the video, the character is standing waiting for someone and sees them (happy) but realizes its the wrong person (shocked and scared)>goes back to waiting (sad)>realizes that she maybe? got stood up (angry) Weeks...

We can use 3D/2D, mixed media, or experimental visual output. Idea/Concept The theme that I would like to highlight is Mental Illness and I am focusing specifically on OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), what it's like for them and the stigma that they face. This in hopes would raise awareness and show the public what they feel like struggling with this on top of facing discrimination. Moodboard Figure 1 Moodboard So I wanted to bring the topic in a different way but with the limited time I had, I decided to use shapes to represent them. Style Frames Using shapes to represent - how this illness is characterized with the presence of obsession and compulsion. Obsessed with things being in order or compulsion of repetitive behav...
