Project 1: Instructable Poster
INSTRUCTIONS
Project 1: Instructable Infographics
We are to select one of the recipes from the Youtube channel - Pasta Grannies. I have never come across this channel before but I was pretty excited as it involves food and of course, I had to go with a dessert recipe. I chose a cannoli recipe by Granny Clara.

Research
Applying Miller's Law (Chunking), we are to break down the information from the video tutorial. I have to admit, it was not as easy as I thought it would be. I had to watch the video multiple times to absorb everything and take note of the little details.

products that she used in the video. For example, her pot and the design on the table cloths. Granny Clara's face once she was done making the cannolis! So precious.

Sketches
I consulted with Ms. Anis about my sketches and she suggests that I include the option 2 concept in my option 3. I should include the phases of the cannoli along with the process on the poster.
Progressions
I made some changes to the initial sketch. I realized there were a lot of steps in the recipe, which makes the previous sketch look messy.
Layout Attempts
I was struggling to tie everything together in the poster. There were many trials and errors, experimenting with different fonts, texture overlays, and refined assets.

Specific Feedback: Include the way the cannoli is folded along with my process on the poster sketch.
Week 6
Specific Feedback:
Looks good and can proceed to the animated video. Remember to include the video source on the poster.
Not learning my lesson from LATCH poster, this time I decided to challenge myself by working on an art style I have never tried before. Hand-drawn! I usually work with vectors and they are my stronger suit. However, this project just called out to me to execute it in a hand-drawn style with textures, and brush strokes. Granny Clara was so precious in the video, she made me want to illustrate her. My struggle was time management as I haven't touched my tablet for some time. Hence, it took me a while to get the hang of it again. The assets illustration felt like it took forever to be completed. Overall, I am glad I pushed through and am able to produce something I never thought I would.

REFLECTIONS
This project was fun to execute as it involves food! (Specifically, desserts..) I learned to breakdown information in a more organized manner, despite struggling with the layout. It may seem easy but it is actually quite hard to break down information from a video. (Especially when one doesn't cook or bake herself)Not learning my lesson from LATCH poster, this time I decided to challenge myself by working on an art style I have never tried before. Hand-drawn!
